Position: Operations Associate – The LAB Miami

About the Company

The LAB Miami is a campus for creative entrepreneurs. We are located in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District in Miami in a 10,000-sqft warehouse that we converted into an inspiring space for entrepreneurs across a variety of industries. The LAB is home to over 80 organizations and 150 members. We ensure a diverse community of ideas and minds by carefully selecting members, and partner with a myriad of forward-thinking organizations to bring cutting edge content to our members and the community at large. Role

The Operations Associate is an entry-level position but an integral part of the management team at The LAB Miami. The ideal candidate thrives in a work environment where they wear many hats and is proactive in solving problems. The OA will be responsible for supporting The LAB’s day-to-day operations including enriching the membership experience, overseeing events, and facilitating sales initiatives. The OA will report directly to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

+Support membership growth and development
+Support other business development opportunities including event & sponsorship sales
+Support facilities management
+Direct marketing efforts including email campaigns, website and social media management
+Ensure a top-quality membership experience

Qualifications

+A true interest in growing the Miami entrepreneurial community
+Passionate about user experience and customer service
+An eye for design and detail
+Previous experience in an operational capacity, preferred
+Proven Sales and Business Development experience, preferred
+Hospitality management experience a plus
+Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

Position: Social Media Interns

Description:

We are looking for a few tech savvy Social Media Interns who would like to learn more about entrepreneurship, while making a difference and connecting with the Miami Startup Community. LAB Miami is a campus for creative entrepreneurs. We converted a 10,000 soft warehouse in the Wynwood Arts District into a collaborative work and event space. We serve as the connective agent between stakeholders in the community. We partner with impact-driven individuals, organizations, institutions, companies and foundations to collaboratively solve problems and challenges. We produce cutting edge learning opportunities and content to the public.

Social media is particularly important to us because it is a tool to engage the community and include them in this narrative.

Applicants must have a deep knowledge of social media. Quantified results from prior experience is a plus! The right person will know how to optimize each of our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Youtube, etc) to engage with our community and grow our audience. The right candidate will have the opportunity to engage with our extended network of impactful individuals and innovation & tech leaders that both our founders Wifredo Fernandez & Daniel LaFuente have built over years. Requirements:

  • – proficient knowledge in Google Analytics, AdWords, Facebook ads and Twitter ads.
  • – highly motivated
  • – 1+ year of relevant experience (personal or business)
  • – passion for social media and online community building
  • – super-active personal Facebook and Twitter profiles
  • – Klout scores of 55+ a bonus!
