AXIS is DK Culinary Ventures’ 2016 Traveling Dinner Series. Their team will “pop-up” at various venues across Miami to serve a signature DK experience to a single table of 18 guests. The 16-course menu will combine their newest discoveries and all-time favorite dishes with quality service to create a fully immersive experience. As juniors at Ransom Everglades, Kelly Moran and David Lanster founded DK Culinary Ventures as a platform to explore their culinary curiosity. Since 2013, they have been serving multi-course, concept-driven tasting menus for Miami’s most involved eaters. Previous ventures have varied from fundraising dinners in sup Common Threads, a national non-profit which teaches cooking and lifestyle skills to underserved children. Individual dishes are dense with inspiration from artists, composers, and culinary greats, while the artistry of scientific techniques allows manipulation of food to reach a new level. Their commitment to hospitality balances the thought-provoking and attention-demanding nature of the dishes with dynamic service.
