DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP – Multiple Openings

​The LAB Miami is seeking a passionate entrepreneur for its Development Internship position.

As part of the LAB Miami’s staff, you will receive all coworking benefits and free tickets to LAB Miami classes, workshops, and special events. The LAB will assist in your professional development by having you attend relevant classes at the LAB, receive one-on-one training from the LAB founders and Business Leaders in Miami, and develop your own independent project/business that emphasizes your strengths, skills, and interests.

Depending on the applicant’s skill and background, responsibilities may include:

• Content Creation (Class/Event Production)
• Content Sales (Outreach and Sales for classes and events)
• Customer Relationship Management (using Salesforce)
• Event Support (Classes, Art Exhibitions, Hackathons, and other special events)
• Financial Support (daily accounting, monthly cash flow)
• Member Support (Client interfacing, Space Curation)
• Startup Support (Project-based work for member companies as desired by intern)
• Social Media (Monitoring, Posting, Content Creation)

The structure of the internship and/or full-time position will remain largely flexible, even with respect to the responsibilities enumerated above. The goal of the position will be to develop and refine your skills in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Outstanding performance during the course of your internship could lead to future career opportunities at the LAB Miami or other companies and startups in-network should you decide to pursue a career in Miami.

• Detail-oriented
• Strong Academic Performance
• Superior interpersonal skills
• Tech-savvy
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Required)
• Experience with Salesforce and/or Quickbooks, preferred
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, preferred
• Experience with RoR, Python, and/or HTML5/CSS, major plus
• Experience in or with startups, major plus
• Candidates with experience in PR and communications, marketing, graphic design, engineering, architecture, programming (front- and back-end), financial modeling, sales, fashion, photography, film production, visual art, performance art, and music are highly encouraged to apply.
