Everyday, the number of people connected to and participating on the Internet is increasing at a rapid rate. Online, we are navigating through a web of connected machines sending and receiving information in plain sight. A curious listener can listen on the line and analyze the chatter. Protection is gained by secret codes. Information security knowledge and habits are fundamental to protecting one’s identity and digital assets.
CryptoCamp is a Spring Break Camp for children ages 9 – 15 to begin practicing digital citizenry and security. The practice will include creating secure passphrases to remember, identifying misleading information, connecting to virtual servers securely, encrypting information and sharing it with identified parties, and trading cryptocurrencies for physical and digital assets.
