EdHack
The LAB Miami, in collaboration with the Miami Science Museum’s “NEXT Weekend”, will hostEdHack, a hackathon to building educational games and apps for youth.
Come solo or bring your team (no more than 5 per team please!) and help build apps to engage more youth (K-12) in STEM learning. Whether a simple STEM trivia game or a role playing game fighting through math problems in a forest, all games are welcome.
Judges Criteria
- Feasibility (Completeness, Functional, and Usable)
- Incorporation of STEM learning
- Creativity
- Ability to scale

Friday, April 4th, 2014
- 07:00pm – 09:00pm – Kick-off at the Miami Science Museum (3280 South Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33129); Listen to the Hackathon’s challenges, begin brainstorming, and start building your team!
Saturday, April 5th, 2014
- 09:00am – 06:00pm – Hackathon at The LAB Miami (400 NW 26th Street, Miami, FL 33127); Storyboard your idea, code your app, take it home with you and prepare your pitch for Sunday. Breakfast and lunch will be served!
Sunday, April 6th, 2014
- 01:00pm – 02:00pm – Demos & Award Ceremony at the Miami Science Museum (3280 South Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33129); Catch the participants demo their products and vie for the grand prize…
