LadyFest is a community-based, not-for-profit, DIY global music and arts, critical dialogue, and creative workshops festival for feminists and women. It is organized by volunteers. Although individual local LadyFests differ, a combination of musical groups, performance artists, authors, spoken word and visual artists, films, lectures, art exhibitions and workshops dominate.

The first ever LadyFest was conducted in Olympia, Washington in August 2000 with over 2000 people attending. Since the first LadyFest, the event has branched all over the world. Each new festival is organized locally and independently of other LadyFests.

Our programming demonstrates a common theme: a commitment to the creative arts, activism, cultural appreciation, and critical dialogue delivered in a variety of ways, including workshops, lectures, panels, exhibitions, discussion groups, and other community engagement outlets all designed heal, nurture, and transform our local community.
