There’s trouble in Homestead! When bulldozers start clearing woodland for a new campground they disturb a group of idiotic squatter hicks who call those woods home. The three hicks, led by Monroe (played by Herschel Gordon Lewis main-man William Kerwin), take matters into their own hands and stage a war against the demolition crews in order to preserve their back-to-nature lifestyle. Tensions are raised when a group of vacationers arrive at the campground expecting to have a relaxing time in sunny Florida. Boy were they wrong…dead wrong.
Come join the Gutter Films cult for an evening of cheap bloody thrills. Where else will you get the chance to rub elbows with your statesmen while watching a forgotten piece of Miami trash cinema? GOD’S BLOODY ACRE was shot entirely in Homestead, FL on a next-to-nothing budget. We will be screening the “Grindhouse Version” of the film which is taken from a washed out and scratched up 35mm print that probably lit up drive-in screens in Florida when your parents were popping ‘ludes and “getting to know each other”. Hehe. BYOB. No sex in the screening room.
