Member Spotlight: Nathan Bekerman from WashMyWhip

In today’s fastpaced world, we know that time is of the essence and convenience is key. We know that there are never enough hours in the day. Because of this, one company is tapping into a common chore that is both inconvenient and time-consuming. Wash My Whip is an app that allows users to get their car washed and detailed anytime, anywhere. While a regular car wash wastes between 50-100 gallons of water per wash, Wash My Whip strives to eliminate wasting water while also saving your time. Using eco-friendly and waterless products, your car will be washed and waxed with the tap of your finger without harming the environment.

What is your name and background?

My name is Nathan Bekerman. My family is Colombian but was I born and raised in Miami. After college, I moved to New York City to pursue a career in finance. After five years, I returned to Miami to help start WashMyWhip.

How did you come up with the idea of WashMyWhip?

During my time working in Finance, I never had time to wash my car but I knew it was an important chore. I looked for someone to come clean my car in the parking garage but the water waste and runoff made it impossible.

Are there any other important details about your company that makes it unique?

As I mentioned, we are an eco-friendly business and we value the fact that we can clean cars without harming the environment. Also, we empower our WashPro partners to work independently while earning more than double than their traditional carwash peers. We think this differentiates us in the car wash industry.

Where do you see WashMyWhip in the future?

Our goal for the next year is to expand across the East coast, but South Florida will always be our home. In the future, we hope that WashMyWhip will extend throughout the US, and even internationally.

Why did you choose The LAB?

My partners and I all wanted to be in a Miami-based organization. We wanted a space where we could connect with like-minded people and grow our local network. Also, the LAB provided us with a comfortable workspace, and its environment was a refreshing change to the corporate offices that we were all accustomed to.
